December 7, 2023: Due to the completely unexpected influx a of pregnant cats and kittens the past 6 months, our bank account is tapped out. Until we recoup a lot of the money owing us, we can no longer accept surrenders of any kind. We will only foster cats on an emergency basis if the owner pays for supplies. What we do
The Gold River Cat Society is made up of a group of volunteers that look out for the well being of the Gold River feline population. These volunteers work together to trap, spayed/neuter, and release feral cats. Feral kittens are only taken away from their mother when old enough. They are then fostered and rehabbed to learn how to receive human interaction. These kittens are then adopted out to their forever homes.
Our Adoption Process
- Go to GRCS.ca/Documents
- Fill out BOTH the Adoption Application AND the Adoption Terms of Agreement forms
- Send them to us by email (goldrivercatsociety@gmail.com) or FB Messenger
- Give permission for your vet to allow us reference access to the basic health history of present and past pets.
- 2025 Fees- $350 for kittens
- $225 for adults
- Fees cover spays/neuters, first vaccinations (boosters are the adopters’ responsibility), tattoos, de-parasiting, vet clearances, and supplies
